Pets in the House
July 28th, 2006My friend Stacey asked about our dog. “No dog on your blog” she said. Lucy the dog and Minerva the cat are very much part of the scene here.
Foundation
July 26th, 2006We now have in place a foundation for our studio building. (see progress reports right here). This project feels monumental. Construction is agonizing and thrilling. In this case even more thrilling with the promise of studio where my back yard used to be. Our foundation was christened today. Aaron shot a movie. Hey are you people able to see these movies? Give me some feedback.

DANCING seems to be Joy’s thing. And how we love to egg her on! However, as I said, once she sees the camera (her favorite toy) she simply must get it. Hence this movie…like so many others…was cut short.

July 20th, 2006It’s hard to get a picture of Joy these days. She wants very badly to play with the camera, and as soon as she becomes aware of it she can think of little else. Here we are, at first quite unaware of the camera…just looking at the birds. The second shot captures the moment of recognition and she starts reaching for the camera. Shot number 3 speaks for itself. These are our “Kodak Moments.”
Visit from Nan
July 18th, 2006Joy’s Nan came to visit from California for a few days. It took 3 seconds for Joy to realize that she was here FOR HER. She loved every minute of it. We did the usual stuff…bath time etc…but its a lot more fun with a larger audience (see below). Aunt Kate sent a couple outfits including a knockout bikini and a faboulous little housedress.
Swimming
July 13th, 2006Joy is learning to swim at Saint Street Swim. She loved the first few lessons and then apprehension set in. A lot of tears and snot. There were no classes last week but we have been trying to get her in the water as much as possible. Today was her first lesson in two weeks and she was delighted.
